So, some of you think that it's crazy! That you can't shop at Whole Foods on a budget! But I'm here to tell you, your truly can, you just need to get WHOLE foods. I mean fruits and veggies, herbs, good natural foods, then all your favorite snacks! And if you can BUY ORGANIC! I'll have a post on that later and why you should do it! Whole Foods has a HUGE selection of organic food, that's why I love it.
Look at all that! That's just the fruits and veggie, 2 different types of mushrooms, yellow squash, eggplant, a huge bag of apples, scallions, 2 herb plants, chickpeas, bananas, a whole pineapple! And that's just the basics. I plan on using every bit, so look for the recipes coming up soon!
Hint:Always keep your scallions in water so they keep growing :)
So the eggs, bagels, cream cheese and english muffins are from HEB, but the cereal and waffles are from Whole Foods. I pick up a lot of my groceries at HEB, you've just gotta know where to find the good stuff!
Meatless meats! Some of my favorites, they aren't the best for you, but those are my go-to's when we've eaten everything else in the house!
Look! Now all my snacks! fruit strips (made from only fruit!), pita chips, lentil chips, seed and nut mix, hummus and some yummy dark chocolate!
Hint: Always go for dark chocolate over milk!
Kombucha! I LOVE kombucha! I'm actually going to start brewing my own! I'll post a link and post later on the benefits, but it's amazing stuff. Then some flavored waters, C wanted eggnog, and organic soymilk!
Smart Balance butter (from HEB) tortillas (HEB) Infused bath salts from Enfusia (they make amazing products), some new soaps and sprays. Couscous, natural raw almonds And natural toothpaste!
So my friends, time to play the guessing game??? How much did I spend at Whole Foods
$150?
$175 ??
$200 ???
$125????
$93. That's it, $93! See, I got so much food! So the trick is, buy Whole Foods and basic snacks you can't live without. You don't have to buy all those super expensive brands, chances are, you can buy it in bulk at their dispensers or get an off brand for cheaper. I ended up spending $50 at HEB, so I ended up getting a better deal at Whole Foods!
I hope this helps! Take care!
With Love,
Early Tuesday
