I am the worst about eating my greens, unless it's celery, green beans, romaine lettuce or spinach. I usually juice them or hide them in recipes where the taste won't be as strong. But I found a solution! I am a fan of things crunchy and salty, I used to have a serious thing for potato chips and sometimes still want them. But I've been told a lot about kale chips and figured I should give it a shot!
Now the recipe is easy, but pay attention to the tips!
You can either use dino kale or curly kale, I grabbed one of both and they both turn out the same! Yummy!
So take your kale and wash it well! Then dry it...reallllllyyy well!!
That amount of kale made 2 small pans of kale chips!
TIP: Now cut out the major ribs/veins in the leaf, those are bitter!
Once you have them ready add just a little bit of oil!
TIP:Just a tiny bit! Just enough to cover all the leaves fully.
TIP:If you use too much blot the leaves that have too much, they should not be dripping!
That is how I ruined my first batch!
Now put them on a tray with parchment paper (or a silicone mat like mine, I got it for Christmas)
(I geet wayyyy too excited about cool kitchen gadgets and utensils)
Now bake them at 300 for 8-14 minutes!
TIP: Watch them and check every 3 minutes or so, they should be crispy and they can burn easily!
Voila! Now you have yummy kale chips!
I personally can't stop eating them! They are so delicious! And you won't feel guilty about them later!
TIP: They should be light and crispy, now wet with oil!
Enjoy!
With love,
