My first post was going to be about green bean casserole, but I figured this would be better. So welcome to early Tuesday, I'm Tuesday, the creator. Like I said in my bio, I'm about to be 20, I am a full time student, working 2 jobs and living with my two cats and very hungry boyfriend (he will be called C). I love healthy eating, and I love to help other people do it too. I have been in a serious slump these past few weeks after a slew of bad things has been happening to me. So I'm turning that around, and the world is going to hear me ROAR. (Katy Perry is my jam right now). SO here we go, are you ready?
I showed up to a documentary screening for a movie I picked with one of my clubs on campus with this tray of goodies. I have decided to call them "happy bites". The movie is called Happy and is something I watched on a bus home from San Antonio earlier this spring and I fell in love with it. It is all about the science and ideas behind happiness, it's really eye opening and informative. It's on Netflix, so you should watch it. Anyways, I loved it so much I had it be part of a monthly documentary series that we do on campus through my organization and 2 others. So I showed up with these, I was extremely anxious because only my friends had ever tried them, and they loved them. So I set them down and as people came in, I saw some people start to pick them up and try them. When I got up to make my announcement, I mentioned these yummy little things. Throughout rewatching the movie I realized I need to do what makes me truly happy, and that is helping others, so here I am, on the internet, telling you that I want to help you eat healthier and live a healthier life. DON'T be scared, it really isn't hard, I promise. We'll do this together. I want this to bring happiness to others like it brings happiness to me. At the end of the showing more and more people started eating them and telling me how much they loved them, it brought so much joy to me knowing that other people actually liked the ridiculously healthy things I put in front of them. I even set next to them a list of ingredients and people still ate them. I guess I was kind of wrong in the fact that most people aren't scared of health food anymore. It made me happy that people would try them. So all in all, this truly made me happy, the joy I felt tonight was unbelievable, I have not felt this good in a long time. So this is why I'm here, to show you the things that make me happy.

So this is what was left near the end of the showing (there was even less than this at the end). So this means I did something right after all. Seeing this at the end was amazing. In all honesty, these are very easy to make! You just have to have the right ingredients. I get most of mine at HEB. So here's the ingredients for these specific ones, but you can use many different ingredients until you find what's right for you. My ingredients don't have set amounts because it takes some balancing to make the right consistency
*-Organic
-Sunwarrior raw vegan protein powder (2-3 scoops)
-Carob chips (2-3 handfuls, chop in food processor)
-Light blue Agave* (1-2 tablespoons)
-Vanilla agave*(~1tbsp)
-Edible green tea *(1tsp)
-Spirulina*(1tsp)
-Rolled Oats(3 handuls)
-Coconut flour * (this is used to thicken the final product up
-Liquid stevia-vanilla * (5-7drops)
-Texas wildflower honey * (1tbsp)
-Almond butter * (3-4oz)
-Raw almonds (1.5 handfuls)
-Almond milk * (2 splashes)
-Chia Seeds* (2 spoonfuls)
-Flax meal (2 spoonfuls)
-Hibiscus Florea (petals of one bud)
-LOVE (LOTS OF IT)
While those sounds all crazy and healthy, in all honesty, they really just taste like a chocolate brownie. No one could tell how healthy they are. Other ingredients you could add or work with
-Peanut Butter
-Any type of nut butter
-Any type of nuts
-Dates
-Cherries
-Figs
In mine you have a ton of protein, fiber, iron, vitamins C,B,A,K and E, minerals, omega 3s, antioxidants, calcium and plenty of other good things for your body. And they are sweet enough for anyone, including the kids I nanny who choose these over ice cream!
Your taste buds and preferences are the biggest part in this, what will make your taste buds happy is what should be in your happy bites.
Thanks for reading and take care!
With love,
early tuesday
